Famous American Reports

The fifth grade class did  reports on famous Americans who helped our country.  We all picked our Americans from a basket.  Then we had to do research on them and we could not use the internet.  Over vacation we wrote our reports and made our visual. Some people made posters, some made models and some people dressed up as their American.  Everyone made a presentation in class.

We learned a lot of interesting things.  We learned about Roy Kroc, who turned McDonald's into a giant business.  We learned that Albert Einstein was a high-school dropout and Bill Gates was a college dropout.  Daniel Boone killed 99 bears in his life.  Davy Crocket died at the Alamo, in Texas, before it was a state.  Eleanor Roosevelt's sons fought in World War II.  Our reports were a lot of hard work, but we're glad we did them!
