The Mozart School had a visit from the captain of the Mayflower! Actually he was an actor pretending to be Christopher Jones, an English sea captain. He was even dressed like an English Sea Captain! He told us about how he brought the Pilgrims to America although they did not call them Pilgrims at the time. He told us a lot about the Pilgrims like how they worked, hunted and cooked. At first the Native Americans were scared of the Pilgrims because the beards on the English men reminded them of pirates. Eventually the Pilgrims and the Native Americans joined together and had a feast day (which is now called Thanksgiving).
