The 5th grade class was invited on a field trip to the West Roxbury District Courthouse. We saw a movie about making decisions and the consequences. We also saw jail cells, it was interesting to see what would happen if you break the laws, but it was also a little scary. We also got to sit in three actual court cases. They were all about probation violations and what they did to break them. Then a Commonwealth Prosecutor and Defense Attorney told us about their jobs. Three people in our class did a little skit to explain how they work with people. We had lots of fun, it was very interesting!
