West Roxbury District Court
 
 
Mr. Ritchie and Mr. Guinta from the West Roxbury District Court came to visit the Fifth Grade. We did a skit called a joint venture which is when you didn't do the crime, but you were involved, so you could still be arrested. Don't ever trust strangers that randomly talk to you. Later that week, our class went on a field trip to the courthouse. We got to meet Judge Coffey and her court friends. The defendants went against their probation and they made us nervous. Our class saw a video about bullying, including cyber bullying. It was kind of scary. We also saw the day jail cells, they were stinky and there was no privacy. We learned a lot, and we're going back for Law Day!
