Pledge
of
Allegiance
Every morning, Miss Andrea lets one student from
the school announce the Pledge of Allegiance. We all stand and put our
right hand over our heart, and say:
"I
Pledge of Allegiance
to the
flag...
of the
United
States of America.
And to the republic
for which it
stands...One nation, under God, indivisible
With liberty, and justice
for all."
These
are the thoughts that we think every time we do the pledge:
-
"Soldiers died giving
our country freedom, and I should be grateful."
-
"I think about how
the Pledge of Allegiance was made."
-
"It reminds me of
the different branches of the armed forces."
-
"I think of people
who are dying in war, and are sick."
-
"I wonder about
the new citizens that come to our country."
