Amazing Arboretum

In October the fourth and fifth graders went to the Arnold Arboretum. We explored Hemlock Hill and saw some Hemlock trees. Some trees were healthy and some were not. The Hemlock trees are dying because of the tiny bugs called Woolly Adelgids. The Woolly Adelgids are sucking all the sugar and food out of the healthy Hemlock  trees. In about 10 years, Hemlock Hill might not be Hemlock Hill anymore.
