Recently, Marty Walsh, the mayor of Boston, came to our school. He went around the classrooms and answered questions we had. In the fifth grade, he saw pictures of Mike Rush, our state senator, who he said is his good friend. He also saw voting posters that the fifth grade had made for Law Day. The computer club asked him a couple questions.

Geography was his favorite subject in school. His favorite teacher was Sister Irene Anne and Ms. Ingeniri. He went to Boston College. On January 6, 2014 he became the mayor of Boston. He became mayor because he loves helping others and loves the city of Boston. He said it is a fun job. It was nice to talk to the mayor, we hope he visits us again.
